Junior Surf Series Champions Unite for a Day of Celebration at The Wave

Surfing England's Junior Surf Series concluded with a day of festivities at The Wave near Bristol, bringing together winners from the four-event series, including 10 Over Surf Shop team riders Willow Smith and Harvey Waters.

Surfers from across Britain, including a strong Irish contingent, joined the celebration alongside team captains Barnaby Cox, Ellie Turner, Emily Currie, and Will Bailey.

The day featured a unique format designed by head coach Beau Bromham, with teams drawn by lot, ensuring a dynamic start to the event. Emphasizing improvement over competition, each surfer collaborated with their team captain to set goals for the day.

Amidst public sessions in the wave pool, surfers enjoyed an hour on both right and left waves. Although there were no winning teams, each surfer received an animal beanie, and standout performers earned fins from RYD. The event, supported by sponsors Animal UK, EOLA, and RYD, received warm hospitality from The Wave.

The celebration extended to video analysis, providing valuable insights for the future. Surfing England expressed gratitude to everyone involved, emphasising the growth in participation, particularly among young girls. Plans are already in motion for the next season, with thanks to all supporters for making the 2023 season memorable for under 12's and under 14's."
